Where does time go? As I get older it just seems to speed up so much. It doesn’t seem two minutes since I joined Nutrabaits 18 months ago. I say joined but really should have put rejoined. I was using Nutrabaits’ Essential Oils, Big Fish Mix, Enervite etc etc for years. In fact, I only stopped using their baits for 10 years. Nothing when you think this is my 48th year of carp fishing. So, when the opportunity arose it really did feel like I was coming home.
The changes I had witnessed in those 10 years covered all emotions. The underlying fact today though is the ‘Nutra’ range is the best I have ever used. The biggest conundrum I had was which boilie range to choose. However, I think surprisingly to Richard and Jason I immediately said Trigga Ice please. A decision that my own investigatory mind had settled on. Let me explain.
These days I am very fortunate that I can devote time to campaign fish. That takes in all weather types, water temperatures and the four seasons the UK can throw at me. I don’t fish abroad so I need a boilie that cater for all the aforementioned. I said hello to Trigga Ice and have not looked back since. Being of an age I have a back catalogue of captures that I think gives me some perceived creditability, so I don’t make that statement lightly. Give a good angler average bait and hell still catch. However, give him top class bait and the sky is the limit. But what was it that attracted me to the Trigga Ice and why? Simple, the inclusion of a high rate of oleoresins means that the attraction of the bait and its effect on the carp’s olfactory senses are high. This gives me the knowledge that I know carp don’t have to just eat it to be stimulated. No, an all-round bait must attract and be nutritious at the same time. Many of today’s range of boilies do one but very few do them both. As those who’ve seen my shows will know I always say attraction gets your fist bite, but nutrition gets you bites continuously.
Using the correct mix of spices, coupled with the base ingredients found in ‘food’ baits of the highest quality I never doubted how many fish it’d catch for me. Throw in the scenario that the boilies were steamed as opposed to boiled and I was sold on the Trigga Ice. I have been known for a long time that my approach uses a lot of soluble liquids, and the steamed boilies absorb more liquids, particularly the dedicated liquid booster.
To get a bespoke identity I also use the Garlic and N-Butyric Essential Oils as part of my unique liquid combo. Now it would be very easy for me to say how much of a great angler I am and look at all these big fish as proof but that’s not my style or wish. I believe those of a certain age should try and pass on the knowledge to younger, beginners or those wanting to improve their chances of catching. Well, I say unequivocally if you make the change to Trigga Ice you won’t be disappointed. I stopped counting at how many big carp I have caught on the Trigga Ice in the last 18 months. However, in a world of facts and figures, over 24 x 40+ Carp and 4 x 50+ all from the UK too. If I was to highlight the 30’s well let’s just say lots and lots. Now can I qualify that I have the time and access to waters that hold this type of stock, but I think even my worse detractor would say Holmesy has caught a lot recently. LOL So next time they ask you why just say two words..TRIGGA…ICE
See you on the bank.
