How do you create a bait that’s completely different, yet carp accept it as a food source from the very first introduction?
The story behind EnerGize began back in 2021, when we sourced something genuinely special — a unique meat meal produced exclusively for the salmon and bass farming industries.
Manufactured here in the UK at low temperatures, this exceptional ingredient retains an amino-rich, high-protein profile, providing fish with the essential nutrients they need to grow and thrive.
We knew almost immediately that we had found the building block for something very special.
What followed was almost three years of development, testing and refinement to create a bait built around this unique ingredient — one that would offer carp everything they need nutritionally, while also delivering an incredible level of attraction.
And our early trials were hugely encouraging.
Simply dampening the mix down and introducing it as a groundbait saw carp move onto it almost immediately. They repeatedly returned, feeding confidently and devouring every morsel.
That was the moment we knew we were onto something.
From there, the decision was made to create a true hybrid bait, combining the unique meat meal 50/50 with premium-grade fish meals to form the nutritional foundation.
We then added human food-grade milk and whey proteins, increasing solubility while maintaining an exceptionally high protein content.
Next came Sluis CLO — a carefully selected combination of yellow birdseed and egg biscuit — bringing digestibility, nutrition and, importantly, that unmistakable crunch factor carp love.
Then came the attraction package.
Optimum levels of both liver powders and liquids were incorporated alongside our own unique powdered spice blend. Finally, we added a subtle inclusion of garlic essential oil — just enough to provide a distinctive garlic back note without ever overpowering the bait.
The result is EnerGize.
A bait developed from the ground up around a genuinely different nutritional foundation, refined through years of testing and designed to be accepted as a food source from the very first introduction.
FIELD TESTING
For us, this is where a bait proves itself.
Real feedback. Every session. Every season. Every weather condition.
That’s where Mark Holmes came in.
Mark fishes throughout the year and, importantly, spends his time targeting pressured waters where the carp have seen just about everything.
He was involved from the very beginning, with one simple remit:

Almost 18 months of intensive testing followed.
Minor tweaks. More testing. More feedback.
