Once introduced into the water, the breakdown process begins within 15 minutes and completes within 2–6 hours, depending on water temperature. During this time, the bait releases soluble food signals throughout the water column, creating a rich cloud of attraction that leaves behind the ultimate feeding area.
When disturbed by feeding carp, the remaining attraction creates a highly visible cloud, helping encourage confident feeding activity.
